Written by Ashok P

A "Plan View" is a design drawing you add to a quote that shows where items are installed at the work site and how they are connected. A plan view drawing with a detailed design simplifies the sales process by eliminating gaps in the intended project execution and increases the chances of winning the opportunity.

You can create multiple plan view drawings within a quote, each a refined version of the previous one or a different design for how the items are installed.

To create a plan view drawing in a quote:

1/ Go to the "Drawings" tab in the Quote Details view.

The Drawing Manager interface opens and shows all existing drawings.

2/ Click "New drawing" in the top-right corner.

3/ In the modal, do the following:

a/ Select "Plan View" and add a name for the drawing.

b/ In the "Number" text box, retain the number assigned to the drawing via the drawing number format or change it if needed.

c/ Click "Next" and upload a floor plan.

You can upload a PDF, JPG, or PNG file; a file larger than 800px by 800px provides the best results.

If you don't want to upload a floor plan now, you can upload it later by opening the plan view drawing and inserting the floor plan image from the toolbar.

4/ Click "Create."

The new plan view drawing is listed in the drawings table on the left in Drawing Manager.
