You can switch the inventory mode from Inventory Asset Management (IAM) to Inventory Pools if you do not want to use the features in IAM.
This article explains how to switch to the Inventory Pools mode. If you want to disable the complete Inventory Management functionality, check out this article.
To switch to the Inventory Pools mode:
1/ Go to "Settings > Inventory > Inventory Settings" in the left navigation menu.
2/ Click "Switch to Inventory Pools" under Inventory Settings.
3/ Select the "I understand.." check box.
4/ Click "Export Inventory Assets" if you want to download the current list of inventory-tracked items along with the asset-level details of the items.
5/ Click "Delete and disable."
After the switch to Inventory Pools mode
After you switch to the Inventory Pools mode, the following happens:
All asset-level details, such as serial numbers, IP addresses, MAC addresses, and QR labels, will be deleted from the Cloud.
All assets allocated to projects and service calls by their serial number or QR code will be unallocated.
Cloud retains only counts of inventory-tracked items, their inventory levels, and associations with inventory locations.
