You can disable the complete Inventory Management functionality when you no longer want to use it.

This article explains how to disable the complete Inventory Management functionality.

If you want instructions on how to disable just the Advanced mode of the Inventory Management functionality, check out this article.

To disable Inventory Management completely:

1/ Go to "Settings > Inventory" in the left navigation menu, and click "Disable inventory."

2/ Select the "I understand.." check box.

3/ Click "Export Inventory" in the modal if you want to download the current list of inventory-tracked items along with their inventory levels.

4/ Click "Disable and delete."

You will see the page with a link to enable Inventory Management.

Disabling Inventory Management will lead to the following:

  • All inventory-tracking assignments you made to the products in the catalog will be removed.

  • You will not see inventory-tracked items on the "Inventory" page.

  • All data relevant to the on-hand, available, allocated, ordered, and needed quantities of the inventory tracked items will be unavailable.

  • All inventory settings will be inactive, and integrations with Procurement and Project Management will be non-functional.

  • The inventory locations will be retained for future use. However, you will not see the inventory-tracked item count in the locations, nor the item movement history of the items.

You can enable and disable Inventory Management as many times as you would like to. Cloud will track the enablements and disablements and show a history of them on the "Inventory" page. The latest instance will be displayed at the top.

Each disablement row will include a link to download a list of inventory-tracked items, their catalog details, and the on-hand quantity before disablement. You can click the Download icon in the "Inventory Export File" column to download the list of inventory-tracked items in a CSV file.

The downloaded CSV file does not contain details about the inventory locations where the items are available. If you want those details in a CSV file, download the inventory-tracked items CSV from the top-left corner of the Inventory page.
