When creating connection view drawings, you may want to see the connections by the signal they carry or by the cable used between the source device and destination device.

You can configure the Connection Color settings from the connection view drawing toolbar to show connections by signal color or cable color.

To select the color source for connections, click the "Settings" icon on the toolbar, then click "Signal Color" or "Cable Color."

The 2 prerequisites for connections to show the cable color are:

  • Associate a cable or wire with each connection in the drawing.

  • Enable the "Cable Type" settings in the catalog for all cables and wires used in the drawing.

Otherwise, the connection line shows the color defined for the connection's signal type, even if you choose the cable type as the color source.
