Once you have enabled the D-Tools Payments functionality, you will see the Payment Settings button to configure the payment settings. Click the button to see the Payment Settings page.

Here is the description of the different areas on the Payment Settings page.

Offered Payment Methods

This area lists the supported payment methods available to customers for making payments.

You can click on a payment method to turn it ON or OFF for your customers. You can also select the default method for making the payment.

Transaction & Deposit Fees

This area displays the transaction fees and deposit fees charged to the customer for project, call, and contract payments.

Convenience Fee

Here, you can enable the collection of a 3% convenience fee for debit and credit card payments collected for projects, service contracts, and service calls.

If you enable the collection of a convenience fee, you will need to provide ACH as a payment method to allow customers to pay via ACH if they don't want to pay the convenience fee.

You will need to independently review to ensure that collecting convenience fees complies with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations set forth by credit card networks.

Automatic Payment Collection

Here, you can enable the Auto Pay feature and completely automate the collection of recurring service contract payments for all your contracts.

Check out this article for more details.

Account Settings

This area is a placeholder for allowing you to change any of the onboarding information. We will add this ability in future releases.

For now, you can contact our Support team if you would like to change any of the onboarding information after D-Tools Payments is active.

Notification Preferences

Here, you can add Cloud users to a specific notification group. This group will receive in-app and email notifications when transactions fail. They can investigate such instances or contact the D-Tools Support team for further assistance.
