Viewing transactions and deposits

How to view the transactions and deposits collected using the D-Tools Payments functionality

Using D-Tools Payments to collect payments will allow you to view ongoing payment transactions and completed deposits.

Transactions

Go to Billing > Transactions to see the history of all payments made for projects, contracts, and calls.

You will see the following columns on this page.

Column

Description

Project/CO/Call/Contract

The exact name of the project, change order, service call, or contract for which payment was collected.

Term

The name of the payment term as in the project's payment terms.

Account

The name of the customer.

Paid By

The name of the cardholder or the name of the account holder for an ACH payment.

Paid Date

The date on which the payment was made.

Amount

The amount collected via the payment.

Method

The method used for payment: ACH, Apple Pay, or Card.

Type

The type of payment.

You will see several options here. Currently, all payments will show “Payin.” The other options will be relevant when we enhance D-Tools Payments in future releases.

Status

The status of the payment.

You will see several statuses here, ranging from 'Created' (payment requested from the customer) to 'Succeeded' (payment collected into your account).

Deposits

Go to "Billing > Deposits" to see the history of all payments deposited into your bank account.

You will see the following columns on this page.

Column

Description

Deposited Date & Time

The date and time when the payment was deposited into the bank account.

Amount

The amount deposited.

Method

The method used for payment—ACH, Apple Pay, or Card.

Status

The status of the deposit—Failed, In Review, Processing, or Succeeded.

The following screenshot shows how Card and ACH transactions will likely be deposited into your bank account.

Notifications for failed transactions and deposits

To investigate failed transactions, you can add Cloud users to a specific notification group. This group will receive in-app and email notifications when transactions fail. They can investigate such instances or contact the D-Tools Support team for further assistance.

To add users, go to Settings > D-Tools Payments > Payment Settings, and add them under “Notification Preferences.”

Notifications for successful transactions

If you want to receive notifications when transactions are successful, you can enable the “Payment received” notification under Settings > Account > Email Notifications.
