By default, Cloud will show the items in a quote in a;phabetical order (A-Z.) This is true when seeing items in the All items view or in the Location, System, Phase, and Category views.
You have the option to sort items in your preferred order. This rearrangement propagates to the proposal, and you do not need to sort them again in the proposal.
Sorting options
You can sort items in the following ways:
Name - (A-Z) or (Z-A.)
Unit price - ascending or descending.
Unit cost - ascending or descending.
Labor price - ascending or descending.
Quantity - ascending or descending.
Display order - you can drag and drop items to create a custom order.
When you set or change the sorting order in a quote, Cloud will apply the new sorting order to all other existing quotes. So, if you change the sorting order temporarily to make some updates or edits to item prices or costs or for any other reason, don't forget to set it back to your preferred order so that all your quotes will show the preferred order.
Sorting rules
Except for Display Order, the sorting criterion you apply in any view will apply to all other views. For example, if you sort items by Name (A-Z) in the Locations view, the items will appear by this criterion in all other views.
The sorting criterion sorts the items in the groups, not the groups themselves. Groups will need to be reordered in the "View By" panel on the left.
The sorting criterion applies individually to the groups of items in any of the views. For example, in the Locations view with 10 products each in the "Family Room" and "Kitchen" groups, the products will be sorted using the sorting criterion within the respective groups.
The sorting criterion also applies to the accessories. For example, with 3 accessories listed for a product, the accessories will also be sorted by the selected sorting criterion.
Sort in Display Order
Items can be sorted in Display Order in any of the Locations, Systems, Phases, and Categories views. The All Items view does not support sorting in Display Order.
Here is an example of sorting items in Display Order in the Locations view.
