How to add items to the floor plan

Once you have uploaded the floor plan, you can add items to it and start building the visual quote.

You have the option to build the visual quote:

  • From scratch, by adding items directly to the floor plan.

  • By extending a quote that already has items in the List view to a visual quote by adding the items from the List view to the floor plan.

There are 2 ways in which you can add items:

#1 From the Item Search bar

Here, you are building the visual quote from scratch. So, you will need to add items by searching for them in the Item Search bar at the top.

This experience is similar to building a quote in the List view, except that you will add items directly to the relevant locations on the floor plan. The items will be seen under the relevant location in the Locations group view.

When adding the items, you will need to select their location in the side panel. Otherwise, they will be shown under "Unassigned" in the Locations group view.

When you have added an item in the required quantity, click "Done" in the Search bar, and add the next item.

Check out this collection of articles for more details about adding, updating, and deleting the items.

#2 From the Group view

Here, you already have items in the List view and are extending the quote to a visual quote.

You will need to go to the relevant location in the "Locations" group view, click the item in the panel, "Enable click to add," and add the item to the location on the floor plan.

For every location, Cloud will show the number of items added to the floor plan and those not yet added to the plan.

In this example, 4 of the 5 items were added to the "Living room." Notice that the side panel reads "1 out of 5 items not in the drawing."

If you want to add more items that are not in the List view, use the Search bar to find them and select their location when you add them. These will be seen under the relevant location in the Locations group view.

Once you have added the items, you can add text, shapes, and comments on the canvas.
