On Cloud, a visual quote is a quote that has the project design with the products, wiring, and other items placed in the appropriate locations on the floor plan of the site. Hence, a floor plan is almost necessary to build visual quotes.
A way around the floor plan when you do not have one is to use the "Rectangle Location" feature and draw the site layout yourself.

Add the floor plan
Cloud will ask you to upload a floor plan when you click on the "Visual" tab for the first time in the Quote Details view of an opportunity. You can upload the floor plan, and you are good to add the items, shapes, and text to it.
You can also upload the plan by clicking the "Upload" or "Files" icons on the toolbar.
Cloud may take a few seconds to upload the plan. Once uploaded, you will see the plan image on the canvas.
The plan may hide under the item Search bar and toolbar if the image size is large. This is normal; you can zoom out on the canvas by clicking the "Zoom to Fit" icon on the toolbar.
Handle the floor plan
Crop floor plan | Select the plan image, click the "Crop image" button below the plan, and crop the image. |
Lock position | Select the plan image and click the "Lock position" button below the plan. |
Resize floor plan | Select the plan image, hold any vertices, and move it outwards to increase the size or move it inwards to decrease the size. |
Move floor plan | Select the plan image, drag, and drop it to the desired position. |
Rotate floor plan | Select the plan image, point at the circular dot above the image, and rotate it clockwise or anticlockwise. |
Delete floor plan | Select the plan image and press "Delete" on the keyboard. |
