A "Price Adjustment" is a discount or upcharge that can be applied to the total product value, total labor value, or total value in the quote.

For example, "Seasonal Discount", "Peak Season Surcharges", "Freight Charges", "Miscellaneous Accessories", and so on.

Typically, you will want to add an adjustment when:

  • You want to avoid applying discounts on products or packages but want it at the project level.

  • You want to factor in labor rate surges during festive seasons.

  • You want to factor in freight charges or other charges that do not fall under any price categories on Cloud.

Adding adjustments under Settings

To add an adjustment, go to "Catalog > Adjustments" under Settings and click "New adjustment." This will open the modal to add the adjustment.

Add an intuitive name, a negative or positive percentage, or an amount, select whether the adjustment amount is taxable, and click "Create."

Auto-Apply adjustments to quotes

If you want an adjustment to be automatically applied to all future quotes, click the 3-dot menu of the adjustment, click "Auto apply," and select whether it applies to product, labor, or total value.

You can auto-apply multiple adjustments to quotes, too.

All auto-applied adjustments are listed under the "Review" tab in the quote. You can delete an auto-applied adjustment manually if you do not want it.

By default, all auto-applied adjustments are applied only to the product total. You can change this to apply them to labor or the total value in the quote.
