Changing the owner of the D-Tools Cloud subscription

How to change the owner for your D-Tools Cloud subscription

Written by Megan Campbell

The user signing up to use D-Tools Cloud may not always be the business owner of the D-Tools Cloud subscription. They may be the ones initiating the D-Tools Cloud trial to try out the features.

Cloud will always make the first user in the free trial subscription the "Owner" of the subscription. So, when the company plans to buy a paid subscription, there could be a need to make the business owner or the internal IT administrator the owner of the subscription.

To change the owner:

1/ Go to "Settings > Account > Users & Permissions" in the left navigation menu.

2/ Click the 3-dot menu of the user who will be the new owner.

3/ Click "Set as owner" and click "Change."

To update the ‘Owner” on your D-Tools Cloud account, hover over the user you wish to make the owner, clicking the ellipsis.

You can also update the owner from "Settings > Account > Company profile."

Here, select the new owner from the “Account Owner” dropdown.

You may want to update the email address and phone number fields with the details of the new owner.

If you are stuck on any of these steps or have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the D-Tools Cloud Account team via chat or at cscloudteam@d-tools.com.
