Cloud users sign up and log into the Cloud using their email addresses. They receive notifications from Cloud to the email address associated with their user accounts.
You can change the email address associated with a user account. This is helpful when:
As the owner of the Cloud subscription, you want to switch to your business email once you have tried out Cloud using your personal email.
As a team manager, you want to transfer the seat of an employee who left your company to a new employee.
Here are a few things to remember before changing the email address.
You will need to be part of the built-in Administrator group or have the "Manage account and subscription" and "Invite users" permissions in your group. If you do not have these permissions, please contact your internal D-Tools Cloud Administrator.
If you have the permissions, you can change the email address of an Office user, a Field user, or even the subscription owner.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when you want to transfer the Cloud seat of an old employee to a new employee.
When an email address change is triggered, Cloud will send an email to the new email address. When signing up, the user can use a different name, and Cloud will start showing this name under "My Profile."
When the user logs in using the new email address, all data, except the name and email address shown under "My Profile," will be from the old user. The new user can change this as needed.
You will need to re-add the user with the new email address to the opportunities and projects to which the old user was assigned, irrespective of whether the name was changed during the sign-up.

Change email
To change the email address of a user:
1/ Go to "Account > Users & Permissions" under Settings in the left navigation menu.
2/ Click the 3-dot menu of the Office user or the Field user and click "Change email."
3/ In the modal, enter the new email address and click "Send change email request."
You will see that the email change request has been initiated.
You can log into Cloud using the old email address until the sign-up using the new email address is complete.
Sign up using the new email
As a user who received the email to the new email address, do the following:
1/ In the email received in the new email's inbox, click "Join the Team," and you will see a sign-up form.
If clicking the "Join the Team" button logs you into the same email address, right-click the button, click "Copy Link," and open it in a private or incognito tab.
2/ In the sign-up form, change the first and last names if necessary and set a password.
3/ Click "Sign Up."
4/ A verification code will be sent to your new email inbox. Enter the code and click "Verify."
5/ Once you are logged in, do the following:
Under "My Profile," change the phone number, bio-data, and other details as required.
Request your manager to add you to the opportunities and projects you need to work on.
If you are stuck on any of these steps or have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the D-Tools Cloud Account team via chat or at cscloudteam@d-tools.com.
