You can add the following types of discounts to Cloud.
A fixed percentage of the total price, say 10% of $1000, which is $100.
A fixed amount, say $200.
A percentage range of the total price, say 10% to 20% of $1000, which is between $100 and $200.
An amount range, say, between $200 and $400.
You can apply any of the above discounts to products, packages, alternate sets, and allowances.
Add a discount
You can add discounts to Cloud in the Details view of a quote. These discounts can be used in all future quotes.
To add a new discount:
1/ Go to the Quote Details view of a quote and click "Design > List."
2/ Click on the item (product or package) and open the "Discount" dropdown in the side panel.
3/ Click "Create a Discount" in the Discount dropdown. This will open a modal to add the new discount.
4/ Add a catchy name for the discount, select whether this is a single value or range discount, percentage-based or fixed price, and specify the discount details.
5/ Select "Save for future quotes" if you want to see this in the Discount dropdown in future quotes. Otherwise, this discount can be used only in the current quote.
6/ Click "Create."
Apply a discount
To apply a pre-added discount to an item:
1/ Go to the Quote Details view of a quote and click "Design > List."
2/ Click on the item (product or package) and select the discount from the "Discount" dropdown in the side panel.
3/ If you apply a range discount, you can set the discount value in the allowed range. If you don't set a value, the lower range value of the discount is applied by default.
Items with a discount applied show a green icon. You will see the discount details when you hover over the icon.
While you can apply a discount on accessories, the discount breakdown won't be visible on the proposal, as shown for items. But you will still see the green icon in the List view of the items.
In the following example, we applied the "Product promotion" discount to a product and the "Package discount" to a package.
Edit or delete a discount
You can edit the discount name and definition, and even delete a discount if you no longer need it.
To edit or delete a discount, hover over the discount in the Discount dropdown and click the Pencil icon on the right. In the modal, change the name and definition or click "Delete" to delete the discount.
Unapply a discount
To unapply a discount you have applied to multiple items in a quote:
1/ Click the 3-dot menu next to the quote number, and click "Settings > Discounts."
2/ In the modal, click the 3-dot menu of the discount and click "Delete."
To unapply a discount on one item, click the "x" next to the applied discount in the Discount dropdown in the side panel.
