For on-demand services such as After-Hours Support and Labor Overage during a call, you may need to add more Labor Types under "Settings > Catalog > Labor Types" and use them when these services are provided.

After-Hours Service

The simplest way to charge for After-Hours service is to add a distinct labor type and use this for labor charge calculations.

For example, while “Standard Service” at $50 an hour and “Premium Service” at $75 an hour are labor types you use for calls scheduled during regular work hours, you can use an “After-Hours Service” labor type for calls scheduled after regular work hours.

Service Labor Overage

If you want to charge a uniform labor rate during the service window and when the call exceeds the window, add more labor hours for the labor types in the call.

If you want to charge up or charge down when the call exceeds the window, you will need to add a distinct labor type for factoring in the labor charge for the excess hours.

The steps to create and manage labor types for service are the same as those for projects. If you want help adding labor types, check out this related article about adding labor types for projects.
