Suppliers may update product details such as cost, price, and MSRP. When that happens, the updates are automatically synced to the products in the catalog.

For products added to quotes, the updated details are not automatically included in the quote. You will need to update them manually in the Quote view.

Update product details

When a quote has products with their details updated, you will see a Green overlay on the Catalog icon at the top-right corner. This will show the number of items that are not in sync with the details in the catalog.

Click the icon to see the "Review Updates" modal with the updates. Here, you can see the current and revised details and the difference.

  • The updates for cost, price, and MSRP will be in "Red" or "Green."

  • If products have been marked as client-supplied, non-billable, or have user-set pricing, labels will be displayed next to them.

If you don't want to apply a specific type of update, for example, "Description," or don't want to update a product, you can uncheck the type of update and product in the "Update" column.

In the following example, we will apply all updates except for a non-billable product.

When you have decided on the updates you want to apply for, click "Update quote." This will apply the updates to the relevant products, and you will see the new value of the opportunity. Also, the Catalog icon will now show a Green tick mark.

You can also check for product updates from the quote's 3-dot menu. Click the 3-dot menu and click the "Review Updates" button. You will see the same modal and can ignore or update the products similarly.

All products are up to date

If all the products in the quote are up to date, the Catalog icon will show a Green tick mark.

Also, clicking the 3-dot menu of the quote will show a "Items are up to date" message.
