On Cloud, you will use a price adjustment with a negative value to provide a project-level adjustment.
Check out this article for more details.
If you are creating an estimate for a project in QuickBooks Desktop (QBD) with a price adjustment, it will need to be shown in the estimate.
Although QBD has an item type called Discount, the current capabilities of the integration do not allow you to map an adjustment to the Discount item type. The only item types supported with the integration are Inventory, Non-inventory, and Service.
So, before creating an estimate with a price adjustment, you will need to create an item of Inventory, Non-inventory, or Service item type with the exact name of the price adjustment. The D-Tools Cloud and QuickBooks Desktop will try to auto-map the price adjustment in the Cloud project to the item with the exact name in QBD.
If an item with its name matching the price adjustment does not exist in QBD, you can map the adjustment to the relevant item for every project estimate you are creating in QBD.
