How to create a new proposal template from scratch

Given the nature of expectations from customers of different market sectors and business practices, it is worth spending time creating custom proposal templates on Cloud. Once you have good templates, you can use them in the proposals and drastically reduce your effort and time working on them.

The instructions in this article apply to Project Proposal templates, Service Proposal templates, and Change Order templates.

To add a custom template, go to the Project Proposal template, Service Proposal template, or Change Order template menu item under "Settings > Proposal" and click "New template" in the top-right corner.

Type in a name for the template and click "Create." This will open the interface with the template design options and options for adding proposal sections.

  • Sections in the proposal (this will give you a good understanding of the sections you can add to the template)

  • Editing the proposal (this will help you understand how to set colors and fonts and work with proposal sections)

  • Customizing proposal sections (this will explain how to tune the proposal sections to your customers' expectations by tweaking the settings of the sections)

If you want to update the template in the future, click the 3-dot menu of the template, click "Edit," and make the changes.
