Adding freehand Lines and Shapes on the canvas

When building visual quotes, you have the option to add Shapes, Locations, and Lines to the canvas. However, if you do not want to use conventional shapes and lines, you can draw freehand lines and shapes to build the layout. This may be helpful to sketch the site layout and note down the project requirements during takeoffs.

On the toolbar, click the "Draw" icon, click a spot in the canvas, and start drawing the line or shape. You can get creative and:

  • Draw curved and dotted lines, parenthesis, mathematical operators, and other symbols.

  • Draw arrows and point them to vital items on the layout.

  • Draw shapes that look like callouts and then place text boxes in them.

Cloud treats freehand shapes as polygons. So, you can use all the regular shape editing options such as fill color and change side thickness for freehand shapes.
