D-Tools Cloud has the "Category Rules" feature to add labor hours to products at their category and subcategory levels. You can update these labor hours in the Details view of the product in the catalog and from the side panel of the product in the quote.

When products are added to the quote, they come with the itemized labor added via category rules and manually in the details view.

However, suppose you want to discard all associated labor (itemized and manually added via catalog and side panel). In that case, you can turn off labor on products and manage labor through labor line items.

To turn OFF labor on products, go to the details view of the quote, click the 3-dot menu, and click "Labor Types" under Settings.

Here, you will see the "Use associated labor for all products and allowances in this quote" option. This is always turned ON by default.

Turn this OFF, and you will see all labor entries in the quote, and the side panels of the products disappear. You will also see the total opportunity value decrease.

The following is an example of turning OFF the "Use associated labor for all products and allowances in this quote" option.

We haven't deleted labor from the products. We have only hidden it and removed labor contributions to the overall value of the opportunity.

If you want to introduce labor back into the quote, repeat the procedure, and this time, turn ON the "Use associated labor for all products and allowances in this quote" option.
