Ask D-Tools keeps every conversation. You can come back to what you asked last Tuesday, rename it so you can find it again, and pin the ones you use constantly.
Starting a new chat
Use Start blank chat in the panel header to begin fresh. Your previous conversation is saved, not discarded.
Start a new chat when you change subject. A conversation carries its context forward, which is useful when you are drilling into one topic and unhelpful when you have moved on to something unrelated.
Finding a past chat
Open the history panel from the panel header. It lists your conversations, most recent first, and shows an unread marker on any chat with an answer you have not read yet.
Use the search box to filter by name. If a chat is missing, use the refresh button, since the list is loaded once when you open it.
Renaming, pinning, and deleting
Each chat in the list has three controls:
Rename gives the chat a name you will recognize later. Worth doing on anything you expect to reopen, since default names are not descriptive.
Pin holds a chat at the top of the list. Good for a recurring review you run every Monday.
Delete removes the chat permanently.
Your chat follows you
Moving to another page in D-Tools Cloud does not end your conversation. The chat stays open and keeps its history, while the page context updates to wherever you now are.
That combination is the point. Ask a broad question on the pipeline page, click into an opportunity, then ask "what about this one" and Ask D-Tools knows both what you were discussing and what you are now looking at.
Docking, floating, and resizing
The panel header has controls for how it sits on screen:
Dock pins it to the side of the window, so the page reflows beside it rather than under it.
Float lets you drag the panel anywhere on screen by its header.
Resize by dragging the panel edge, useful when a canvas table is wide.
Hide closes the panel. Your conversation is kept, and the header icon reopens it.
