Long-running projects that span months may see changes in the taxes applied between when the contract is signed and when the invoice is generated.
Cloud has a setting that allows you to add a disclaimer on proposals stating that the tax calculated in the proposal is estimated and is subject to change during the course of the project. You can enable this setting at the subscription level and later apply it to specific proposal templates and proposals generated using the templates.
To enable the Estimated Tax Disclaimer setting:
1/ Go to "Settings > Proposal > Settings" in the left navigation menu.
2/ Enable one or both of the following options:
Show Tax Disclaimer on Quote Proposals: This applies to proposal templates and proposals.
Show Tax Disclaimer on Change Order Proposals: This applies to change order templates and change orders created using the templates.
At this point, the setting is enabled but not yet applied to proposals and change orders.
To enable this setting for a proposal template (project or change order), go to its Edit view, click the Settings icon in the top-right corner, and set "Show Tax Disclaimer" to ON.
Now, all proposals generated using this template will include the estimated tax disclaimer in the Summary and Executive Summary sections.
If you don't want to show the disclaimer, in the proposal's Edit view, click the Settings icon in the top-right corner and set "Show Tax Disclaimer" to OFF.
