You may want to set the physical condition of assets when you are using Inventory Management in the Inventory Asset Management (IAM) mode. Setting the physical condition os assets helps you isolate new assets from used and non-functional assets.
To set the condition of an asset:
1/ Go to "Inventory" in the left navigation menu.
2/ Click the row of the inventory-tracked item.
3/ Click the row of the asset.
4/ Click the condition-selector at the top and select a condition from one of the following: New, Refurbished, Used, Unknown, Cosmetic Damage, Needs Repair, and Non-Functional.
If needed, you can also add an image of the asset. To do so, scroll down and upload the image or copy it from the local folder in the "Images" tile on the left.
Here are a few things you should know about asset condition.
All assets, when checked in, will be in the "New" condition.
Any change you make to the asset's condition will be tracked in the asset's activity log.
On the inventory-tracked item's page, you will be able to see a "Condition" column that shows the condition of the asset. You can sort this column to sort assets by their condition.
