You can include the terms and conditions of the project in the "Terms & Conditions" section of the proposal. The terms and conditions typically include, but are not limited to, a list of contract documents, the project execution timeline, payment terms, insurance details, the scope of expected changes, and product warranties.
By default, a Terms & Conditions section is added to the proposal with some sample text. You can update the section to add your own terms and conditions.
You can add multiple terms and conditions sections, with different titles, to the proposal.
To configure the Terms & Conditions section, click the "Edit" icon of the Terms & Conditions section. You will see the following options.
Section title
Here, you can update the section title and even choose not to display it.
Terms & Conditions
Here, clicking the Edit icon will display a modal to update the terms and conditions. This is the standard Rich Text editor you use on Cloud with the option to insert snippets.
Term Settings
The following are the Term settings.
Must accept terms: Setting this to ON will not allow the customer to accept the proposal if they have not selected the checkbox to accept the terms.
The following screenshot shows the pop-up the customer will see if they try to accept the proposal without first accepting the terms. The customer will need to click "Review Now" to go to the Terms & Conditions section and accept the terms.
When the customer selects the checkbox to accept the terms, Cloud will record the customer's name and the timestamp of acceptance.
If you have multiple Terms and Conditions sections and have the Must accept terms set to ON for some or all of them, you will need to select the checkbox to accept the terms in every section where it is set to ON.
Once the customer selects the checkbox to accept the terms and conditions, all options to edit the Terms and Conditions section are greyed out unless the checkbox is deselected.
Must scroll to end: Setting this to ON will not allow the customer to select the checkbox to accept the terms unless they scroll to the end of the Terms and Conditions section.
Display options: You can choose one of the three display options: shortened text with expand, full text, or shortened text with pop out.
Checkbox Label
Here, you can add your own text that appears next to the checkbox to accept the terms.
