Updating your payment method to ACH to avoid Credit Card convenience fees

How to avoid the 3% credit card convenience fee by switching to an ACH bank transfer

As of June 1, 2026, a 3% convenience fee is applied to subscription payments made by credit card. As card-processing costs continue to rise across the SaaS industry, this change allows D-Tools to maintain transparent pricing while offering a more dependable payment alternative.

You can avoid the convenience fee by switching your payment method to ACH (bank transfer). ACH is free and secure, and it takes just a couple of minutes to set up.

Here are a few reasons most customers prefer ACH for recurring billing:

  • No convenience fees, ever

  • More consistent billing, no expired cards, no declines, and no service interruptions

  • Secure bank-level encryption for every transaction

  • Quick setup with just your routing and account numbers

You will need to access the "Subscription Plan" page to change the payment method. If you do not see the Subscription Plan page, contact your Account Owner or a user in the Administrator group to make the change.

You can switch to the ACH payment mode in two ways.

#1 Directly on D-Tools Cloud

To switch to the ACH payment mode directly on D-Tools Cloud:

1/ Go to "Settings > Account > Subscription Plan" in the left navigation menu.

2/ In the Plan tile on the Subscription Plan page, click "Change payment method."

3/ In the Add Payment Method modal, click the "Bank Account" tab.

4/ Enter the bank details and click "Update" to save the changes.

#2 Using our online ACH form

You can submit your bank details using the ACH form available for download on the D-Tools website.

To switch to the ACH payment mode via the online directly on D-Tools Cloud:

1/ Go to "Settings > Account > Subscription Plan" in the left navigation menu.

2/ In the Plan tile on the Subscription Plan page, note down the "Account Number" for your D-Tools Cloud subscription.

You will need to enter this account number when you fill out the ACH form.

Here is a screenshot that shows where to find your D-Tools Cloud account number.

3/ Go to the following URL to access the D-Tools ACH form: https://www.d-tools.com/recurring-automatic-payments.

4/ Click "Download" to download the ACH form.

5/ Read the instructions at the top of the form.

6/ Fill in the details in the form and send it to D-Tools by fax, email, or mail.

Credit card payments remain available after June 1, 2026, but a 3% convenience fee will be added at the time of billing. Switching to ACH is the easiest way to keep your billing fee free of the convenience fee.

If you have any questions or would like assistance to switch the payment method, our team is happy to help.
