How to enable the Basic Inventory mode for Inventory Management on Cloud

Cloud has two subsets of features for Inventory Management: Basic Inventory and Advanced Inventory. Basic Inventory includes entry-level features, and Advanced Inventory includes all inventory-related features.

This article is relevant only to Cloud customers who are enabling Inventory Management for the first time and want to use Basic Inventory. Cloud customers currently using the Inventory Management functionality are already in the Basic Inventory mode and do not need to do anything to continue using it.

To enable Basic Inventory:

1/ Go to "Settings > Inventory > Inventory Settings" in the left navigation menu.

2/ Click "Enable Inventory Management and let’s get started."

3/ In the Choose Your Inventory Mode modal, click "Basic Inventory."

You will see the settings relevant to Inventory Management, along with options to add inventory locations on the Inventory Settings page.
