Cloud has two subsets of features for Inventory Management: Basic Inventory and Advanced Inventory. Basic Inventory includes entry-level features, and Advanced Inventory includes all inventory-related features.

You can enable Basic Inventory or Advanced Inventory when enabling the Inventory Management functionality on Cloud. If you enable Basic Inventory, you can upgrade to the Advanced mode later.

Here is a comparison of the features available with Basic Inventory and Advanced Inventory.

  • Asset can be tagged with a serial number, two IP addresses, two MAC address, a firmware version, notes, and so on

QR Label support

  • Not supported

  • QR labels can be generated per asset, showing details about each unique asset

Project allocation

  • Simple allocation by quantity

For example, Project A is allocated 2 Samsung TVs

  • Specific allocation by choosing specific asset IDs, tracking IDs, and serial numbers or QR codes of the assets

For example, Project A is allocated 2 Samsung TVs with serial numbers RBE2345WA and RBE2346WA

Service call allocation

  • Simple allocation for replacement

For example, a non-functional Samsung TV is replaced with a new Samsung TV

  • Full historical level tracking of products for repair and replacement

For example, a non-functional Samsung TV with a serial number RBE2345WA is replaced with a new Samsung TV with a serial number RBE2346WA

Cloud Database Lookup support

  • Not Supported

  • Search for specific assets by their serial number, asset ID or QR code
