How to Get Started
Submit an idea
Have a feature request or improvement in mind? Submit it directly through the portal. Provide as much detail as you can about the problem you're trying to solve — the more context, the better.
Vote on existing ideas
Before submitting, search to see if someone else has already suggested something similar. If they have, vote for it! Votes help us understand what matters most to the most customers and directly influence our prioritization.
Follow ideas you care about
You can follow ideas to stay updated on their progress. When an idea you voted on ships, you'll automatically receive a notification.
What Happens After You Submit
Here's how your idea moves through our review process:
Status | What it means | Who can see it |
New | Your idea has been received and assigned to a product manager for review. | You, others in your organization, and D-Tools staff |
Researching | A PM is actively evaluating your idea — checking feasibility and fit with our product direction. | You, others in your organization, and D-Tools staff |
Under Consideration | We think it has potential! Your idea is now public on the portal so other customers can vote and comment. | Everyone |
Planned | We're committed to building this. It's on our roadmap. | Everyone |
In Progress | Development is underway. | Everyone |
Shipped | It's live! You'll receive an automatic notification if you voted on the idea. | Everyone |
Note: Ideas in New or Researching status are only visible to you, others in your organization, and D-Tools staff — they won't appear publicly on the portal yet. Once an idea moves to Under Consideration, it becomes visible to all portal users and open for votes and comments.
What if my idea doesn't move forward?
Sometimes an idea is closed for one of these reasons:
Already Exists — This functionality is available in D-Tools Cloud today. Reach out to your Customer Success Manager and we'll walk you through it.
Will Not Implement — After review, this idea isn't something we're able to pursue right now. We appreciate every submission — your feedback shapes our product even when we can't act on every request.
A Few Tips
Search before you submit. If an idea already exists, voting on it is more powerful than creating a duplicate.
Be specific. Describe the workflow or problem you're running into, not just the solution you have in mind. This helps us find the best way to address your need.
Check back. You can log in to the portal anytime to see the latest status on ideas you've submitted or followed.
