An "I/O" is a combination of the input or output port of a device from which a signal is sent or received, the terminal used at the port, and the direction of the signal. For example, an RJ-45 port that receives network data via an RJ-45 terminal.
By default, we provide the most commonly used I/Os in the I/O library.
To add a new I/O:
1/ Go to "Settings > Drawings > Custom I/O Library."
2/ Click "New I/O" in the top-right corner.
3/ In the new row, select the signal, terminal, direction, and optionally add a label for the I/O.
For direction, you can select from Input, Output, Bidirectional, or None. The signals and terminals available for selection will be those provided by default, as well as those you add manually.
Once added, the I/O will be available when adding I/Os to products in the catalog or in the connection diagram.
You can search for a specific I/O, sort the list of I/Os by a particular column, and even filter them by specific signals and terminals.
