You may need to update the details of the items you have added to the quote. Cloud allows you to select multiple items of the same kind (products, packages, alternate sets, or labor types) and update their details in one go.

Products

There are two ways to update multiple products.

Select multiple products

Select the checkboxes to the left of multiple products of the same type, such as TVs or cameras.

In the side panel, you will see almost all the details you can edit for a product. You will also see the number of products you have selected for the update.

Some examples of updates you can make are:

  • Updating the price summary, price details, and group allocations of similar products

  • Updating the labor for similar products

  • Adding accessories for similar products

  • Fixing item validation errors of similar products

  • Updating the quantity of products in multiple locations

  • Changing the client-supplied and billable state of products

In the side panel, make the updates. Cloud will update all the products.

Check out this article for more details.

Update similar instances

The products you add to the Cloud catalog are stored in the database with a unique ID. When you add a product to multiple locations in the quote, Cloud considers this as multiple instances of the same product.

In the quote, click a product that has been added to multiple locations. In the product's side panel, you will see an "Update x instances" link.

To update other instances of the product:

1/ When you have updated the details of the selected product, click the "Update x instances" link.

This will open a modal for you to select the other instances of the product you want to update. By default, all other instances are selected for the update.

2/ Deselect the ones you don't want to update.

3/ Click "Update," and Cloud will update the instances you have selected to update.

In the following example, a TV is added to the 2 locations in the quote. We are updating the TV price in one location and propagating the change to the TV in the other location.

You will need the "Manage quote item pricing" permission or be a member of a group that has it to update a product's cost, price, markup, margin, and billable setting.

Here is a table listing the fields that can be updated for non-length-based and length-based products.
