D-Tools System Integrator (SI) is a fully integrated software package that ties together the entire system integration process into one complete solution. SI enables system integrators to generate fast, accurate project estimates and proposals, detailed system designs, and client documentation through a complete data-driven process.
Integrating SI with D-Tools Cloud will allow you to create and manage the projects created for opportunities won on D-Tools Cloud in SI.
You also have the option to create the project for the won opportunity in both D-Tools Cloud and SI and manage them in either. However, your changes to the project in SI and Cloud cannot be synchronized.
Prerequisites
You must have an SI account and be on Software Assurance (SA).
You must know your SI product key.
Enable the integration
To enable the integration with SI:
1/ Go to "Settings > Integration > Manage Integrations" in the left navigation menu.
2/ Click the "Setup" button in the System Integrator tile.
3/ Enter your SI product key and click the "Connect" button.
The modal will show "Connected" once the integration is active.
Enable project editing on Cloud
To manage projects on D-Tools Cloud, too:
1/ Click the "Enable/Disable Cloud Project Editing" link on the left.
You will see a prompt describing the impact and scope of enabling the ability to manage projects on Cloud as well.
2/ Click "Enable."
The push to SI is a one-time action. Once pushed, any changes made to the projects on either Cloud or in SI will not be synchronized.
Marking an opportunity as Won
When marking an opportunity as Won, you will see the following options to manage projects:
D-Tools Cloud - the project will be created on Cloud, and you can manage it on Cloud.
SI - the project will be created in SI, and you can manage it in SI.
D-Tools Cloud and SI - the project will be created on Cloud and in SI, and you can manage it in both Cloud and SI. However, the changes cannot be synchronized.
Project Dashboard
The projects you have chosen to manage on both Cloud and SI will display a banner on their dashboard.
Disable the integration
To disable the integration with SI, click "Manage" in the System Integrator tile, click the 3-dot menu in the modal, and then click "Disconnect."
