You can sell products such as software licenses on Cloud. There are many ways in which you can add subscriptions to your catalog.
#1 Convert existing products to subscriptions
If you are selling software subscriptions and licenses as regular products, you can convert the software product to a subscription.
The converted product will retain properties such as cost, price, MSRP, supplier details, and documentation resources. All other properties, such as labor, accessories, phase, and system mapping, will be hidden.
Also, the subscription will have three new fields: pricing interval, default subscription length, and default billing frequency.
Currently, the Inventory Management feature does not track inventory for subscriptions. You should keep this in mind if you currently have software products under inventory tracking.
To convert a product to a subscription:
1/ Go to "Catalog > My Products," and click the 3-dot menu of the product you want to convert to a subscription, and click "Convert product to subscription."
2/ Select the pricing interval and click "Convert."
If you have many software products, you can select all of them and convert them into subscriptions by clicking "Convert product to subscription" from the Actions menu in the top-right corner.
The products you have converted to subscriptions will no longer be seen on the My Products page. They will all be listed under the catalog on the "Subscriptions" page.
#2 Add subscriptions from D-Tools Library
D-Tools Library has several software subscriptions and licenses that you can add to your catalog and convert to subscriptions.
#3 Add your own subscriptions
Cloud also allows you to add your own items as subscriptions. For example, in-house or resale software, streaming services, security monitoring, maintenance, and rental equipment, among others.
Click "Add subscription" at the top-right corner of the "Catalog > Subscriptions" page and add the details of the subscription.
#4 Upload subscriptions as products and convert them
If you are selling software licenses outside of Cloud and want to start selling them from Cloud, import them in a spreadsheet like you upload products, and then convert them to subscriptions.
You can use the Favorites, Brand Supplier rule, and Brand Price rule functionality on subscriptions.
