After you upload the floor plan to a plan view drawing, you can add items and start building it.
You have the option to build the plan view drawing:
From scratch, by adding items directly to the floor plan.
By extending a quote that already has items in the Design view to a plan view drawing by adding the items from the Design view to the floor plan.
There are 2 ways in which you can add items:
#1 From the Item Search bar
Here, you are building the plan view drawing from scratch. So, you need to add items by searching for them in the Search bar at the top.
This experience is similar to building a quote in the Design view, except you add items directly to the relevant locations on the floor plan. You can see the items under the relevant location in the Locations group view.
When adding items, select their location in the side panel. Otherwise, they are shown under "Unassigned" in the Locations group view.
After adding the required quantity of items, click "Done" in the Search bar, then add the next item.

#2 By adding items from the Group view
Here, you already have items in the Design view and are extending the quote to a plan view drawing by adding the items from the Group view on the left.
To add items from the Group view:
1/ Go to the relevant location in the "Locations" group view. Cloud shows the items in that location in the left panel.
2/ Click the item in the left panel, "Enable click to add," and add the item to the location on the floor plan.
For each location, Cloud shows how many items are on the floor plan and how many are not yet added.
In this example, 4 of the 5 items were added to the "Living room." The side panel reads, "1 out of 5 items not in the drawing."
To add more items not in the Design view, use the Search bar to find them, then select their location when you add them. You can see the items under the relevant location in the Locations group view.
Once you add the items, you can add text, shapes, and comments to the canvas.
