When you build a plan view drawing, you may need to add shapes to represent new or existing objects at the work site, as seen from its top view.
Shapes can be added to the following drawing types: plan view, image quote, and whiteboard.
Add shapes
You can add the following shape types: Ellipse, Circle, Rectangle, Square, and a polygon with up to 8 sides.
To add a shape:
1/ Open the drawing in Drawing Manager.
2/ Click the "Shapes" icon on the toolbar.
3/ Click one of the three shapes.
4/ Click a spot in the drawing where you want to add the shape.
Handle shapes
Fill shape | Select the shape, click the "Drop" icon in the contextual menu, and select the fill color from the palette.

Change shape type | Select the shape, click the "Triangle" icon in the contextual menu, and select the number of sides for the new shape.

Change line weight | Select the shape, click the "Lineweight" icon in the contextual menu, then select the weight.
 |
Change line type | Select the shape, click the "Linetype" icon in the contextual menu, then select the new line type. |
Resize shape | Select the shape, hold any vertex, and move it outward to increase the size or inward to decrease it.
This is how you can change an Ellipse to a Circle and a Rectangle to a Square.

Move shape | Select the shape, drag it, and drop it to the desired position. |
Rotate shape | Select the shape, point at the circular dot above it, and rotate it clockwise or anticlockwise. |
Delete shape | Select the shape and click the "Delete" icon in the contextual menu. |
