After using the custom proposal templates in your proposals, you may have learned things to incorporate into the templates. You may want to add a few more sections and tweak the customization settings for some sections.
The instructions in this article apply to Project Proposal templates, Service Proposal templates, and Change Order Proposal templates.
You need the "Create and manage proposal templates' permission in the "Proposal" permissions group, or you need to be a member of a group that has it, to edit project proposal, service proposal, or change order proposal templates.
To edit a proposal template, go to "Settings > Proposal" and click the 3-dot menu of the template and click "Edit." This opens the interface with template design options and options to add or remove proposal sections.
Editing a template is similar to editing the proposal. Check out these articles to understand the options for editing and updating the template.
Sections in the proposal (this gives you a good understanding of the sections you can add to the template.)
Editing the proposal (this helps you understand how to set colors and fonts and work with proposal sections.)
Customizing proposal sections (this explains how to tune proposal sections to your customers' expectations by tweaking section settings.)
Once you edit and save the template, the changes will be seen in the future proposals to which you will apply the template.
If you want to apply the updated template to an existing proposal, go to the "Edit proposal" view, temporarily change the template to another template, and then change it back to the updated one.
