D-Tools Cloud includes direct pricing integrations with many suppliers. Connecting your dealer account gives you real-time, account-specific costs on the products you quote, and those costs stay current as the supplier publishes changes.
The steps below apply to any supplier that offers pricing. Suppliers that provide pricing are marked with a currency symbol in the catalog — see i3 Partners vs. Other Suppliers for what the indicators mean.
Before you start
You need an active dealer account with the supplier. D-Tools does not create the account for you — the connection only links the account you already have.
Have your account credentials ready. What you are asked for varies by supplier: some need only an account number, others ask for an account number and postal code, an account email, a login and password, or an API key. The connection screen shows the fields that the supplier requires.
Connecting to a supplier
1/ Go to "Catalog > My Products" in the left navigation menu.
2/ Click the "Manage pricing" button at the top.
3/ In the "Available Pricing" tab, locate the supplier and click the "Request access" icon.
4/ Accept the disclaimer and enter your credentials for that supplier.
5/ Click "Connect."
Approval
Most suppliers review the request before switching on your pricing. The supplier receives an email to authorize your account, and this may take a few days.
Once approved, you will receive an email letting you know your pricing is active.
If you are not approved, the email will include the reason you were declined.
Approval is between you and the supplier, so if a request is declined, contact the supplier directly.
Example: connecting to ADI
ADI is one of the simpler connections—it only needs your ADI account number.
Go to "Catalog > My Products," click "Manage pricing," find ADI in the "Available Pricing" tab, and click "Request access." Accept the disclaimer, enter your ADI account number, and click "Connect."
ADI then reviews the request and emails you once your pricing is available.
After you are connected
As you add products to a quote, you will see MSRP, Price, and Cost populated from the supplier. These costs stay updated through the API integration and refresh as the supplier changes prices.
Cloud also tells you when pricing is available for a brand you already use, so you can connect the right supplier without hunting for it.
Here is a catalog item with a connected supplier — ADI, in this example.
And the same item in a quote.
