How to configure the Tooltip settings for a connection view drawing

When creating connection view drawings, you may want to see the details of items added to the drawing. The Drawings functionality lets you view item-level details in a tooltip when you hover over an item.

You can configure the Tooltip settings from the connection view drawing toolbar to show the level of item detail you want.

To select the item details to show in the tooltip, click the "Settings" icon on the toolbar, then click "Tooltip Settings."

By default, all item details are displayed. You can deselect the ones you don't want in the tooltip.

There are 3 non-item-related options you can display in the tooltip:

  • Items: Clicking this icon for a package displays all the items in that package.

  • Comments: Clicking this icon in an item's tooltip lets you add a referenced comment for the item.

  • Filter: Clicking this icon hides the item from the drawing; you can restore it from the quote's BoM view by clicking the "Eye" icon for the greyed-out, hidden item.

The following is a screenshot of an item tooltip in a connection-view drawing.
