Update product details

Some of the use cases to update product details in bulk are:

  • Adding or updating the core details of new products you have imported to Cloud

  • Specifying a consistent margin across products of a selected brand

  • Changing the supplier for products of one or more brands

  • Adding product-associated labor for products that don't have it yet

  • Bulk-marking selected products as discontinued or client-supplied

To update product details in bulk:

1/ Go to "Catalog > My Products" in the left navigation menu.

2/ Select the products whose details you want to update.

Select products based on the details you want to update. Use the filters located at the top of the page if needed.

3/ Click "Action on Selected > Bulk edit products" in the top-right corner.

The following screenshots show products of the "Samsung" and "Klipsch" brands selected for bulk update.

On the Bulk edit products page, you can see the following options.

  • The products you selected are grouped by their category > subcategory mapping. You can collapse or expand each group by clicking the arrow on the left.

  • Each product shows key details you can update in a table. Each detail is a product field you can update.

  • The table includes multiple field types: text box, dropdown, configuration modal, and toggle.

  • A scroll bar at the bottom lets you see all product fields.

  • An "Apply to all rows" row at the top lets you select or enter a value for a field and apply it to the relevant value of the products selected for bulk update.

  • An "Add field" button at the top lets you add more product fields to the bulk update table.

4/ If you want to apply an update to products, do the following:

Update the relevant field in the "Apply to all rows" row to a value. You can see that all relevant fields of the products are set to that value.

In the following example, we updated the "Keywords" and "Phase" fields of all products.

Be cautious when applying an update to all products. If you inadvertently save an incorrect update by clicking "Save," the value is saved to all products. If you unintentionally applied an update to all products but didn't save it, undo the update and apply it only to the relevant products.

5/ If you want to update the product fields one by one, click the relevant product field and update it.

6/ Once you're done updating the products, click "Save" in the top-right corner.
