How to enable address-validity check for the billing and site addresses of accounts

Cloud has a setting that checks whether billing and site addresses are complete when adding accounts. While this setting doesn't verify whether an address exists on the map, it ensures you enter all required details, such as the state and postal code.

By default, the address-validity check is not enabled on your Cloud account. You can enable it if needed. When enabled, it also checks whether the new addresses you add for the opportunities are complete.

You will need to be a member of the built-in Administrator group or a group with the "Manage settings" permission in the "Account" permission group to change the address-validity check setting.

To enable the address-validity check:

1/ Go to "Settings > CRM > Settings" in the left navigation menu.

2/ Select one of the following options from the "Check for Invalid Address" dropdown.

Warn with prompt

With this option, Cloud users will see a prompt when they try to add a billing or site address without all required details. They can still save the address and update it later.

Stop

With this option, Cloud will not allow users to save a billing or site address unless they provide all required details.

Cloud will automatically update the address-validity check setting for all future addresses added to accounts.
