I/O library

How to add the list of device I/Os

A
Written by Ashok P

An "I/O" is a combination of the input or output port of a device from which a signal is sent or received, the terminal used at the port, and the signal direction. For example, an RJ-45 port that receives network data via an RJ-45 terminal.

By default, we provide the most commonly used I/Os in the I/O library.

To add a new I/O:

2/ Click "New I/O" in the top-right corner.

3/ In the new row, select the signal, terminal, direction, and optionally add a label for the I/O.

For direction, select Input, Output, Bidirectional, or None. The available signals and terminals include the defaults and any you add manually.

Once added, the I/O is available when adding I/Os to products in the catalog or in the connection diagram.

You can search for a specific I/O, sort the I/O list by a column, and filter by specific signals and terminals.
